Has anyone heard of this? Does it work? I have visions of people taking it too literally and locking their chain to my back wheel!

Just hope they don't have bolt cutters and a big van, or lots of bikes could be stolen. I'll stick with my hundreds of locks, disc locks and my alarm.

I always lock my bike to another persons chain if there are no other places to secure it.

However I did it to one bike and a scooter pulled up saw what I had done and chucked his chain round the front wheel of the bike next to him. I had to explain to the retard that the other bike will not be able to ride away untill he (the scooter rider) returned to unlock the chain.Rolling Eyes

*edit*

Fuck me! They are asking money to join something I have been doing for years. I have missed a trick there. Evil or Very Mad

Am I missing something here? If you see a bike with one of those stickers that gives you permission to lock your bike to thiers, right?

So what happens if you've parked your bike up and by the time you come back someone has chained their bike to yours?

Am I missing something completely obvious here?

Yes you are missing the point. Click the tour and it explains it.

Hahahaha!

What a typical Scooter rider!

I once locked my chain through another bike chain, and the bloody bike was alarmed. I had people giving me well dirty looks!

People never get it when you tell them about it the first time: "what, we both get a key for the same lock?" type thing...

AFAIK the people running that website don't make any money from it. If you do join you get discounts of various other security devices etc.

If I ever had to commute into central london I would probably join up.
