Hi, I was supposed to be on a k5 gixxer now but somethings got in the way. AndI'm gonna have to get the bike from another country. My only concern was the warranty but summer is coming up so 3months of warranty will be wasted anyway. And the warranty here is only for 6months. I just want to know what should I do after I run the bike in since I won't be able to take it to the dealer? Can any workshop do what is required? Thanks.

Any reputable dealer should be able to perform a 1st service for you. It's usually just an oil change and a general check over to make sure everything is still A1 after it's been put together.

If the law is the same as the UK Suzuki cannot refuse to service the bike even if it has been bought from a different country. You will have to pay for the labour on the service though, you only get free labour from the dealer you bought it from.

What happens? They charge you a fortune to change your oil and pads. Very Happy
