maybe its just me but does £50 to fit a front wheel bearing sound a bit eccessive? this doesnt even include taking the wheel off the bike or fitting it back on, i have to do that myself!

Upto £20 parts depending if they're OE or not. Labour charges suck.

I'm in middle of replacing front and rear wheel bearings on my KTM...

How much has it cost??

Fifteen if you buy a new drift too Wink

The kawasaki dealers in Carlisle charged my mate £16 EACH for wheel bearings for his GPZ500s. I told him to take them back and we got better ones for £3.50 at the bearing factors.

Drift?? Shocked No way, I used an old torque wrench as a drift to knock them out Laughing Completely fucked the wrench but it did the trick Thumbs Up Very Happy

Sticking the new ones in = appropriately sized socket Wink

Yes that is including parts aswell but he told me the bearing would only be £8! so how would i go about getting the old bearing out if i decided to do it myself? or is this not such a wise idea? cheers for all your help lads Thumbs Up

i payed about a tenner to get front and rear wheel bearings from the bearing makers place for my Gilera GSM Razz and just hit the old ones out with a speedway bikes rear axle, to get back in just make sure they are straight, and put a rubber mallet on them gentally Smile
