hi my mates wants to de-restict his honda sfx but we dunno how to.
I deresticted my speedfight 2 50cc so had a look in the honda but the variator on it is not resticted.
He is going to buy a endy race exhaust if one will fit is there any more restictors in a SFX ?
Also would a racin variator mak a diffrence in one of these?

Hi mate,

It says there is a variator restrictor... it may be a washer OR a plate in it... if it looks different to the speedfight, you may have missed it when you had a look.

Also the CDI is restricted... an ebay session may be required Smile

cheers mate there definatly isnt a restictor in the variator though ill tell him get a cdi i thought that was resticted cos of the noises it makes

does anybody know how to derestict the cdi my mate does not want to pay alot for a new one and there are none on ebay. He will be getting a new race variator and a endy race can soon but needs to have his cdi done to use the extra power.

I think, and I could be wrong, that it's not possible to derestrict a CDI, bar plugging it into a computer and adjusting settings that way... Only a dealer would be able to do this - and for what you'd pay for that, you may well be able to buy a new CDI.

That's what I gather about CDI restrictions, I could be wrong but I'm fairly confident that's right...
