Fixing eyelets to tarmac

Right then, problem number one solved and I can now keep my big boys bike on the drive using ratchet straps and a couple of eyelets.

Problem number two then: has anyone every fitted an eyelet anchor into tarmac? Can it just be drilled through, and will that be a strong enough fixing? I want to avoid digging up parts of the drive as much as possible, so don't really want to concrete one in.

it will pull out far too easily,definitely needs concreting.

Tarmacs not that good for grip as you don't won't to concrete is there a brick wall you could use?
Don't forget to grind off the side's of the bolt heads though.

just cut out a small patch then about a foot square and concrete that. I've used 2 eyes so i know that they'd try and get through the chain first.

Aye, I guess I'll have to. I already have one concreted in outside my front door, so I'll have quite a collection going!
