hey i current hav a sym jet euro x 50 04 model and they have an emmisions system thing on them which slows it down i was wondering can it be removed and if so how also when i took it to the garage to get fixed my exhaust had broke and i needed a new one they took it off and banged on an old rusty one for the time being and unplugged the pipe off the emissions thing and bunged up the end its bin like this for a week and is brilliant but when i asked can it be removed (the emmisions thing) he said no? can anyone help?

im guessin the emmission thing you mean is the restrictor, depends where it is and in what form, it might be a restrictor cone in the mouth of the pipe blocking the air flow, in which case you chuck a die grinder down there and grind it out in 15seconds!

it might also be a resonator tube, basically a matel tube leading off the exhaust, to nothing, all you do it crimp it as close to the exhaust body as possible, and weld it so its air tight and dosnt leak

nah your going on about something totally diffrent the bike is already fully derestricted its a little black round boxy thing above the exhaust with 2 rubber tubes leading to it
