Just found this on the web:
https://www.terra-lock.co.uk/APSecurity.htm
Looks like the ideal solution to putting an anchor on my driveway without using concrete.

Anyone used one before? Can anyone see any problems with this that I might have overlooked?

Dig a hole > fill with cement > stick anchor in hole. Thumbs Up

Think this one is designed for grass/mud but will work in concrete. But yes you hit it with a hammer. Confused Concrete it in and that'd be quite good I reckon.

Yup. Get a 2" thick U bend of solid...(dunno, some strong metal) and cement it into the driveway. Look a chain around that. Sorted Wink

I was trying to avoid using concrete (there's a thread about it somewhere down there), apparently you just knock these into the ground with a giant hammer.

I already have a cemented anchor at the front of my house, but since these are going into the middle of my drive, I wanted them to be slightly less obtrusive.

I will probably get one anyway just to see how strong they are.

You can get some that drop flush with the floor when not being used.

Might be a good idea if you need to plant them in the middle of the drive.
