Much fun.

Really want to do some more (but need a bike with decent tyres) but really don't have any money to spend on more bike stuff Sad.

If I get a minute I'll write a 'join us' report Smile.

Pah, my dr only had about 1mm of tread left on the grp70/gpr80s it had on. That filled with mud very quickly.

The parts pictured were ok, but others were too muddy.
I came off my dr twice when only very slightly leant over, on a neutral throttle.

Korn did try and take me accross a trail.

I almost crashed just getting on to the path. Made it about 20m down the path, sliding all the way. Managed to stall the bike as I gave up and tried to turn around. Then spent ages kicking the bike, already pretty damn knackered at this point.

Good fun, isn't it Mr. Green

I might fit the off road wheels for it.. depends when it is, what the weather is like etc... all booked up for a while anyway... 2 track days next month, go kart race and moving house.. haven't even taken my car test yet so can't get the bike there just yet.. but will do soon Wink

The motocross track is in the Chiltern Hills, quite close to Oxford. If jumps and berms aren't your thing there are also plenty of green lanes about and a nifty hillclimb. Would be good to get a few more BCFers coming along, the muddy side could always use new converts Razz

I can't, I'm scared.

Not of crashing or anything but by the fact that there are currently four bikes in the garage and I really don't have room for another one.

I'm sure there will be some tracks.

You don't need power for off road; korn's xr250 is a 4 stroke, think they make about 22hp as standard!

According to the BCF map Trax in Preston is fairly close to you. They have two full size MX tracks, a freestyle arena and a 3km trail course as well. £20 per day on practice days, number is 01772 731 832 - their website is buggered at the moment...

I live just out of Blackburn so Preston is not far at all. I'll probably go there in the near future, before the tread on my off-road tyres goes completely flat.

Never actually gone off-road on my bike so would definitely be interesting... and painful Smile

A derestricted 125 2 stroke will make similar power to korn's XR.

However if you can find something like Korn's, or maybe a slightly bigger two stroke; for instance kmx200/220 or similar they would probably be a bit better, more for more midrange than top end.

Cool

c90's are the best field bikes ever, put mine into a dyke accidentally, pulled it out, popopopopop, we used to jump mine all day long, only thing that ever went wrong with it was punctures, and bicycle inner tubes fit Mr. Green , got some pics somewhere getting some reasonable air on it Laughing , need another one, put my first one into the front of an escort with no helmet, liscence plate keys or insurance Shocked
