Im basically looking at tidying up the rear end on my Gs a little bit over the next week, was first hoping for a nice new hanger from rsend, and some diddy indicators Smile but im also debating a smaller number plate, nothing rediculous, just a bit small than the standard size, still the 2 line square style, just a little smaller to make the whole rear a bit tydier? anyone got any ideas where to pick one up, other than waiting till the BMF in may? also any other ideas to tidy up the rear greatly accepted Thumbs Up

Cheers,
Dave.

Don't bother with the number plate, cos you WILL get stopped if the police see you riding on the road with it on.

Granted get some mini indicators and a hugger, maybe think about an undertray too.

I also have a GS500, bit of a project for me to use in the winter instead of the Ninja. I have found hardly any after market parts for it. www.gs500.co.uk/forum has helped me for using parts from different bikes but as I say its difficult.

So far I have put progessive springs in the front forks, I have bug eye lights, mini indicators, purchased an RGV250 rear shock although not fitted yet, hugger and loads of other bits. You can get some bits off M & P and Busters, just depends on what you want to do. I do have a new rear light unit, once again not fitted, but it looks better than original, picked that up from M & P.

Done a bit of painting to the bike also, polished rims with black spokes on the wheels, looks better than the original white wheels.

Good Luck

Well im definately thinking of getting a new rear light unit, i got a fairing coming for it (small bikini one from m and p) in the next few days Thumbs Up (ill post pics up soon as its fitted). i just been out the back and tidied up the rear a little, lifted the number plate up a little, trimmed off the bottom part of the hanger plasticy bit, and put a new smaller reflector on.

Heres some more pics of my afternoons work,
I didnt take into account the corners of the newly rised number plate, and as a result had some very heart in hand moments whilst flexing both the plate and the side pannels to get them back on Razz (and yes i know i could have just taken the plate off but i didnt think of that at the time) Very Happy

No... Im 90% sure on that. Even if they were I would fit them. It's not like some copper is going to go "Oi! Those bulbs are too bright. Let me get out my brightness tester..."

Plus the goverment is for things that aid your visibility.

i might put something like that on my FZR, LED tail light, and shorten the lens cover (so it doesn't stick out 6 yards)
