I need a good loud horn to go on my Aprilia Tuono, next time a dozy driver pulls out I want to sound like there is a 10 ton truck just about to hit him. The OE one is too weedy, I don't want some complicated thing with compressors and extra switches, just a straight replacement
Any one changed theirs and got a suggestion?

I thought it was going to be a reference to Pot Noodles. Embarassed

Apparently car horns are louder and dependent on having the right connections, will fit and work. A trip to the mythical local scrapyard (maybe I just haven't looked hard enough) should yield something suitable for a few squid.

What you need is one of these.

https://www.1000goodies.com/products/AUTHRN.jpg

They are shell horns. Straight replacement for the origional horn and loud as Fcuk. I have one on my scooter. I didnt have a relay to put both of them on.
But unless you go for some big Trumpet airhorns, you wont get much better than these. Thumbs Up

Also Mchaggis, Cars have a couple of horns behind the grille, THats why they are louder. Thumbs Up

I'm sure their power consumption must have a lot to do with it too. The horn on my bike sounds like a squeaky fart, though it's possible it is too tight. I might look into those shell horns though. Thumbs Up

Well, probably that too. Thumbs Up
Theres a little screw on the stock horns, I think if you bring it out, it will give a deeper tone.

Shell horns are by far the best though. When I hit my horn, It sounds like a Truck horn! Cool only a little quieter.

Lower note = Large truck behind you
High note = Very loud school girl, chasing after you because you stole her lipstick.
