Hey guys, didn't really know where to post this so put it here.

I am not a new biker, been riding for a year now.

I JUST got my ZXR 400.

5000 miles, V Reg 1999, Excellent Condition green and white for £1550 !!!!

It was an absolute bargain. The guy I bought it from is just starting up a pub and needed quick money. I got my friend over who knows ALL about bikes to check it over. It rides SWEET and it is ABSOLUTELY gorgeous.

Sadly, weather is crap now and it is getting dark, so I will get photos for you all soon in the photo section Very Happy

Just gotta pass my test now Razz But I couldn't turn down a bargain like this!

Ben

Erm, as of yet not booked Razz I need to pass my theory. I have all the knowledge and it is booked so as soon as that is done I am booking my full test. I know some people might not agree with what I am doing but if you had such a bargain you can't NOT go for it.

Plus I get plenty of time to join the ZXR 400 Tart Team and ponce my bike up to the max Very Happy

Thats what happened to me, Although I have passed my theory and have now sent the form away for a test date. I wasn't looking for a bigger bike, but I just can't walk away from a bargin.
I picked up my zx6r for £2000, aftermarket shocks and brakes, ram air, micron can, stage 3 dyno'd, seat lowered, bars slightly raised, Double bubble screen and I don't know what else. She's 1997 but only had 10k miles on her.
Just do your test asap. I got a bit side tracked once I got the bigger bike.
Best of luck with her.

Yep its deffo a genuine bargain. Got the MOT receipt for last September showing 3000 odd miles. So if they clocked it since then, it wouldn't have been by much.

The bike is in good condition, its a V Reg 99 and it doesn't look like it has been used that much at all. I think the reason I got such a good deal on it, apart from the guy needing quick money for his pub, was that it was dirty. He didn't have time to clean it. When a bike is dirty, you are not gonna get the best offer for it, no matter how good it is!!

Pictures soon when I have given it a good old clean. I have also ordered some anodised aliminium stuff from hyper bolt. LET THE TARTING BEGIN!!!!

I completely understand with the people who got their bikes before taking any tests at all, my bike was too much of a bargain to let it go. The theory is done, now just got the test to overcome. Karma

Look forward to seeing the pictures Razz.

Don't worry about it to much, I'd be doing exactly the same thing if I found the bike I wanted at the right price. Mr. Green

To be honest I really don't know! I am sure someone will, but the one I have got is de-restricted, and it goes! Laughing I couldn't resist taking it for a REALLY quick ride Embarassed Naughty of me I know but hey, you only live once. Don't wanna be losing my liscence before I get it though so that was the one and ONLY time Smile

Well to be perfectly honest the only reason the speed will vary on a restricted bike will be because of weight. It'll probably be around the 90-100 MPH mark anyway. Smile
