I've just put a K&N in my Falco. It's not made a massive difference, but it does seem to have sharpened up the throttle response a bit low down. Sounds a bit "throatier" than the stock filter too, although that could be my imagination.
The main reason I got it was cost, pay £40 for a filter that will last the life of the bike, or £25-30 for one that will last a couple of services! K&N worked out cheaper in the long run. (Yep, I'm a Yorkshireman!)
There's also an Evoluzione performance filter available from www.rsvr.net, but I've no idea what they're like. |

It's one thing letting the air get in quicker, but it needs to get out quicker too. At least have a race can, or barely road legal can to assist. Then, the bike will be fueled for the slower system, so a brief re-map or carb. tune would help it out. You could increase the burn by adding race spark plugs as well.
It's basically like putting nitrous in your bike but still opning the throttle to the same half-open position, it won't neccesserily make the performance that much better as a stand alone device!but do get one, everyone should, as they still work fantastically when dirty, due to their construction. The standard ones get dirty and strangle your bike further!
Treat your bike, get one! But if your looking for more power, get some of the above mentioned stuff to assist it! ____________________ TL1000R Parts For Sale! |
