right i know im a naughty boy fitting a 70 kit to a 50.

i have the same gearing as before, although it gets to 30 in like half the time it only has an extra 7 mph top end which is created by higher rpms that the 50 bore did not reach.
I was to get a new front cog that will increase my 5th gear to do 50 mph. so that would be adding 10 mph on.

at the moment with the standard gearing it goes like this
1st - 10 mph
2nd - 15 mph
3rd - 25 mph
4th - 35 mph
5th - 42 mph

the bike struggles to pull away in second but pulls easily in first, but would adding a xcog that will give 10 mph top end on the 5th gear not give 10 mph to the other gears as well. i really am confused could some one please explain it to me.
thanks for your help, sorry for the long post!

If you changed the sprocket, then it will affect every gear in the same way.

If you think your engine can pull it off, then do it. It will just make all your gears taller.

Try changing both front and back sprockets.

If you go down 1 tooth at the front and up like 4 at the rear it shood increase your pull away and the rev range giving you a little more top speed
