How many people have you got into biking?

Was thinking the other day about my biking in general and thought about all the people I have taken out on my bike. 90% of everyone has absolutely loved it - the first words when we stop are usually something like "That was @#%@ing incredible" Laughing

Only one person didn't enjoy it so much- she had tears in her eyes afterwards Embarassed

- although she said she could see the appeal.

Now 4 of my friends are planning on getting a licence. I think 3 of them will actually see it through. The surprising thing is that two of them are female. Now before all you lovely ladies comment on this, I only say it is surprising because most bikers are male.

I think that it is a good thing to share the enjoyment I get from my bike, and an even better thing to open the world of biking to others. I don't think people actually appreciate how fast and enjoyable a modern motorbike is, nor the depth of the biking scene.

If anyone goes onto get a licence because of a ride pillion on my my bike, and goes onto enjoy it half as much as I have so far then I'll be chuffed

Also got a girl mate on a ped, but she is now getting a car unfortunately, my mate also has a 50cc Senda and is getting a DT125 in July. Thumbs Up

I've done 3 that I'm aware of so far, though you could say 4 if you include rekindling the interest in one after a 5 years absence from biking. Razz

My step dad was the first to pick it up after me, did his DAS and now has a Hornet, then my father who did the same and has a Vstrom DL650, and the most recent is a work colleague of mine, Donna. She has just done her CBT, bought a Marauder and is also going for DAS (*envys taller/stronger females types* Laughing

). Have got quite a few into the delights of BCF too Wink

Well got my mate james back into as he was unsure after a nasty accident that nearly killed him but after bringing him to watch korn and taking him on the back of the VFR and giving him a little go down the road he's now looking into getting a bike again.

everyone enjoys goin on the back and loves it but its alot of commitment. when they start to look at how much it costs them, they usually blow the idea off by that stage.

My ZX6R is living in my mates garage whilst I'm abroad for a bit. I asked him to start her up every week and move her about a bit.

After a week he text'd me to say, "That bikes F***ing lovelly"

A few days later, "I'm getting one"

A few days after that, "I took her for a spin up the street - Fast innit" Shocked

a friend of mine bought a Yamaha Dragstar 125, very nice bike. He wants to do his DAS but he hasn't got the money at the mo.

Yeh I've stopped asking him "hows the beast" now, as I dont want to know the answer.

When we were pups I lend him my AR50, he came back and handed me part of the numberplate and said,"erm...sorry mate".
