Well about 6-7 weeks ago I took a head dive into the tarmac and broke my bike.
It took me 5 weeks to source most of the parts but I'm now back on the road....
Here's the pics of before and after.
My race can is still showing the signs of the crash but the rest of the bike doesn't look to bad. The paint needs another coat or two and a sticker kit. I'm also missing mudguard side cheeks. The clock bracket is bent so I need a new on of them but it's all still fitting back together not to bad. Running perfect and still quick if saturdays run with the MNCninja mob is anything to go by... ____________________ Old bikes >>> https://www.bikepics.com/members/cc123/ |

It's great being back on the road. Not too fussed about the can, will be selling it soon I think for a 636R so I'm going to stick the standard can back on.
It's also good getting the confidence back up, rode with some very fast guys on saturday and was sticking with them so I'm feeling great about pushing the bike hard again. ____________________ Old bikes >>> https://www.bikepics.com/members/cc123/ |

Myself! I know it's slighty out but I just wanted the panels done quick as they where red/black. Its still to come apart again to have a new clock mount bracket fitted along with the crash bungs then it's getting painted again. The purple is pretty much spot on but the green is slighty out. ____________________ Old bikes >>> https://www.bikepics.com/members/cc123/ |

I ain't no pro though! It will do just now, under certain light you can't tell there is a difference in shade. Once it's painted again and the sticker kit is on it should look alot better. Still rides perfect which is the best part. ____________________ Old bikes >>> https://www.bikepics.com/members/cc123/ |

Well thankfully it must have been mostly cosmetic damage anyway. ____________________ Be careful whose advice you buy, but, be patient with those who supply it. Yes all cosmetic till I took it apart and found I'd bent 2 sub bracket thingys. Got 1 replaced just waiting on another arriving before I get her all finished. ____________________ Old bikes >>> https://www.bikepics.com/members/cc123/ |

Ordered them and they came about 3 days after I'd come off which was nice, then when I went to fit them they where the wrong ones, got sent a set for a CBR1000RR? Hmmmm, really sounds like ZX6R doesn't it. Dunno how they got it wrong so my 6R ones should be here next week as they said they had a 3 week waiting list time for my model, been nothing but hassle! ____________________ Old bikes >>> https://www.bikepics.com/members/cc123/ |

You might want to think about spacers for the left hand side bung as it sits right around the fairing and in a fall will smash the surrounding plastic. I'll upload pics when I get my bike back to show you.
(Right hand side has good clearance, just the left probably because of the coolant overflow tank). ____________________ [M] |
