I've got one!
It was a bit fiddly at first, and I kept setting it off as I fumbled to remove it. It only alarms for 10 seconds and then resets, until you move it again.
It doesn't go off immediately when you rattle it, 'cos it gives you 5 seconds to put the key in and take it off before it starts screeching.
Also, when you are carrying it off the bike you just need to mentally tell yourself to insert the U component the other way, otherwise the alrm will go off as you are putting it back in it's bag!
I've not really tested it's sensitivity, as I use it when the bike is in the garage as an extra security to the huge chain & ground anchor.
It will go off if someone moves the chain, it is movement dependent rather than needing a smack to set it off.
I am very pleased with it and can recommend it.
It's also comforting to know that it has a lifetime guarantee, the battery powered alarm section can be removed and sent for repair separately (so your bike can still be secured) and it has Thatcham approval.
Good piece of kit! ____________________ Fly away on my Zephyr?
I bloody wish. |
