I am just interested to know if any of you guys and gals have ever got a real bargain. I am quite interested as after my recent catchment of my 'steal' of the RG125, I also think my RD was a steal. I paid 300 for my RG and paid 260 for my RD. I think these are pretty good prices.

So, have you ever picked up a real bargain? Would like to hear. Thumbs Up

My 50cc was a kind of steal, it was a Gilera GSM50 Supermotard ... cost me £500 from ebay, which in itself isnt a fantastic price... but considering, after only having to fit one new tyre (£50) , 1 year later selling it for £850 ... surely thats gota be good? Laughing

Yep, then spent £20 getting the forks straightened, and £15 for a second hand front wheel off a TZR (inc. vented disk). MOT'd and running for a little over £200. Very Happy

bought a "seriously defective" Kawasaki GT550 for 150 quid with tax and MOT and 17000 miles (!!). It wouldnt do over 70 the guy says.

Smiled, bought it, rode it home.

Open carbs, and with 2 quids worth of rubber glue, fixed the holes in the carb diaphragms, hey presto full power once more!

The MZ. Reasonable condition, needed a clean and a front headlight plus fairing. £600 for a 1.5 year old bike, could probably sell it for £1200 if I had to.

I got a sachs xtc 125 2001 (2 stroke) with 15.000 kms on the clock, snapped front mudguard and broken right hand mirror and it needed a speedo cable for 200 quid. Cost me 100 quid for that lot and passed mot straight away. I was just offered 1500 for part exchange at my local shop. Very Happy But I'm gonna keep it till later on in the year.

Sounds good to me. Seems really cheap for quite a decent bike. Also, a very very cheap can!

Ace, that sounds like a real bargain. I like the Bros, ideal for the A2 as they make 33bhp.

Ace! Lovely bikes, not a bad price at all.
