Bike alarms

Gonna get me a cheap ebay alarm.
Just need some help deciding between these 2.
I know this has cropped up before but basically, theres this:

Has remote start and stuff (novelty). But it has an external siren so might be louder than this:

Do you think the cheetah one will be loud enough to hear inside a house when the bike is outside?
I think its probably a better make.

I don't thing there is that much between them really. Personally i would go for the cheetah one simply because it 'looks' to be a better product

As to whether you would hear the internal over the external alarm? Again i doubt there will be any difference... they will both be loud!

A word of warning though before getting an alarm - don't forget you may need to get a battery trickle charger as alarms will quickly drain a motorcycle's relatively small battery if not used for a couple of weeks.

My experience with alarms is that they can be a real pain in the arse, useless, expensive or all three.

Might be worth spending a little more and getting something like a Sola-larm 807, rather than something of Ebay that's not been tested. They have been around for ages in one guise or another and have got a RiDE mag best buy. You should be able to pick one up around the £40 - £45 mark.

i had that cheetah on my scoot - done the same job as a £100 krypton 1, was small and easily consealable, very good in my opinion

however ive got a Data tool sys 3 for the bandit lined up - just because i dont trust anything else!!!!!!!

I took a risk and got a Cheetah alarm.
It does what it says on the tin.
On that basis I'd recommend it.
