My insurance is due for renewal next month so I thought I'd do a few online quotes, see what I came up with.
I have discovered a problem on the Motorcycle Direct online quotes, and wondered if anyone else has had it and if so, how you got round it?
When you get to the bit about your license and no-claims, it asks what kind of licence I hold. Full Motorcyle, thank you.
Then how long have I held it? One year, passed my test last summer.
How many years riding experience do you have? 4 - did my first CBT in 2001.
How many provable years no-claims do you have? 4 - says 3 on last years so it'll be 4 now.
Eeek. Website gets sniffy with me.
"You cannot have more years riding experience than you have held your licence for!"
YES I FUCKIN CAN! I rode on my provisional before I got my full license.....aaarghhhh!
Can't believe they don't allow for this. Short of phoning them for a quote (not practical at this time of night!) what can I do? Lie? Surely that would invalidate my insurance if I took it out?
I have emailed customer services, watch this space....... ____________________ Sod falling in love, I wanna fall in chocolate. |

take online quote as a ball park by lying. Always phone up for quote as well,as the broker will usually help suggest other ways to bring the quote down for you (extra security features etc,not listed on the website and other such stuff). ____________________ Its Not a Melon, Its Clearly a Lime!!
