So i found my CBT certificate after hours of hunting and ripping up old letters etc but as luck would have it i managed to tear up my CBT certificate.

It's torn into 4 seperate parts, clean tears so i could tape it back together no probs i would think, but i'm wondering, would this be ok or will i need a replacement? it's been torn through the signature though Mad

it's £20 for a duplicate and the hassle of having to travel to the training centre to get one written out before 9am (only time they'll be about) when i'm free. I don't mind paying for the duplicate but that's 4 supersized big mac meals with shakes Laughing

what do you need the certificate for, unless the police ask you for it i doubt you will ever need to produce it, when you book your full test the computer checks and i dont even remember being asked to show it to a tester.

Instructors ask to see them before DAS etc for insurance reasons. I think some insurance companies ask for a photocopy. Police producers. If you had an accident and the police were called they'd want to see it.

Stuff like that.

i'd just tape it together,if it's torn through the signature then it's gonna look like a genuine accident not like you've tried to bodge together a fake.

Yes you need a new one, the official line from an examiner if your going to take your test is that it is no longer valid due to being defaced ie torn up.

When filling them in to issue if i make a mistake on it i have to correct it an initial it, make more than 1 and i have to write out a new one.

Dont risk it get a new one incase you get a moody examiner, if your not going to take your test get the sticky tape out Very Happy

Just tape it back together, shouldn't be a problem.
