Ok, so last night I managed to lose my keys, possibly in one of the clubs I went to last night. (didn't even drink! (I was driving)).

I've hotwired the bike ridiculously easily! but how the fuck do I put petrol in it?

Any bright ideas on how to remove a locking petrol cap are much appreciated!

Laughing Zimma had this same problem a few years ago at the bulldog bash. He didn't really think about how he would get fuel until after he had done a few runds down the drag strip on his hotwired firestorm. AFAIK he was picked up by the RAC after about 60 miles into his journey home. Laughing

Problem with the fuel cap is that even if you undid all the bolts holding it on the locking mechanism prevents you from removing the cap without first unlockling it (at least I think thats right).

Depending on whether you're going to get new locks or new keys, would a screwdriver and a hammer work? Bang, twist?

Well on this bike you can't even unbolt anything, I don't know what I'd do.

Luckily I happened to find the keys under the passenger seat of my car. (that'll teach me to throw it round roundabouts....)

But if I hadn't found them, I would have been fucked, how do I get that off, without filling the tank with swarf, and, not damaging the tank.

A new ignition barrel wouldn't have been a problem, but that filler cap would have fucked me over.

I've learned something today though...(Bikes are stupidly easy to hotwire...) I had this thing running in under two minutes. Could have been quicker, but I chose to take the tank off. (and the seat, which shouldn't come off without the key)..

Thanks for input guys.
