Excelent bit of kit for not allot of money...

Never had any sort of problem what so ever, i'll never buy anything other than a garmin because of that... seen this particular one used in norway in -20odd conditions, working perfectly, they can be left in a metre of water for 30minutes and suffer no bad effects, they can be dropped from a similar height many times without breaking..

I payed £150 for it but am wanting £100 it has the box (somewhere+instructions) data cable and 12v adapter, i have all the available map discs (worldmap, roads and recreation, points of interest) but not originals. Also the bracket in the picture (had to order it from america especially, recently found a place that sells them in the uk for half the money payed out ) The cables and the bracket cost £60 on their own..

It will store uploaded map data up to 1.4mb, this covers derby, most of nottingham and the peak district for me, it will store the entire uk for main roads, detail roads depends on what area you are covering...

How do they work? I mean, how do you plan routes and how does it tell you when to turn. Could it plan a route from a house in Manchester to a house in London?

I don't know much about the older/lower end GPS systems. Get the chance to play with the newer ones like the Navman and Tomtom at work but they're too expensive for the little use I would get out of them.

Would be nice to have something I could use instead of always going on the PC and printing off AA route plans.
