Harsh sorry to hear about that. But expect everything on a bike because its not only going to hurt you but it will hurt your pocket as well.

Hope you heal up soon though

You can expect to pay a lot more for insurance next year. Looks as though the owners of the car will claim off your insurance. Smile

no i was going round the corner at about 15/20mph then on the last bit my mate in front on his bike slammed his breaks on and i slammed mine on and must have clipped him which sent me into the car but i was doin about 5/10mph then and the bike fell on me with my mate also off but he only had cuts. If that car wasnt there i would have been ok.

Or if you weren't too close to your mate. Remember - expect the unexpected. We all make mistakes on our bikes - I know I have - just make sure you learn from them.

Ok leave the poor lad alone. It may have been his fault, it may not have. It may have been a mistake, it may not have. My first crash was mostly my fault, I was filtering in the rain, gap got too small and instinctively I slammed on the brake. Unfortunatley, it was the front that was slammed on, resulting in losing the front end and bike ending up under a car. Mistakes happen, hopefully he will learn from his accident. Glad your alright mate. Go easy ok.

Sorry to hear it. These things happen. The main thing is your alive and you have the opportunity to think about how you will prevent yourself doing the same again.

I have seen fairings go on ebay for £200-250.

How badly damaged are your fairings - could you get them repaired and sprayed? I haven't seen them in the flesh but you could also try these https://www.ardracing.com/april125.html

Just the right side front fairing? or the cowell as well? Since Aprilia are so huge, you should be looking at £150ish new right side panel only? Correct me if I'm wrong. Go to the Aprilia site, UK, dealerships, phone around. I did it for Sachs, the one dealer quoted me £900!!

OUCH I just re-read your post. Erm go to the website, see what it turns up.
