Yes thats right had my first big crash today at Bishopscourt.
( Northern Ireland for those who dont know).

Came down the main straight flat out about 150mph and the trottle stuck open. Pulled on the front brake (Stupid) and went into massive stoppie, released brake headed for grass and dropped the bike on it's side. Shocked
Slid for what seemed forever then the bike hit the tyre wall and I slid into bike. Badly winded and bruised knee. Embarassed

Bike had fairing damaged and wouldnt start but we got it going and I went out for Qualifing. Confidence was down so failed to qualify.

Dont know why I just didnt hit the kill switch. Thumbs Down

Starting to stiffin up now so no doubt I will be sore tomorrow.

I will be getting some pics tomorrow, so I will post as soon as I get them.

It was split second as i was just about to turn it into first corner, brake was first thing I thought of. It was after the bike was taken back to pits we relised it was total jammed open, it had got caught in trottle housing. I had about 1-2 secs to react. I will know better next time if it ever happens again. Think the bike going into a stoppie scared me more as I knew that if I went down on tarmac it was going to really hurt.

That really seems like a big crash. Unlucky mate, but glad to see your still in one peice. I hate that feeling after the crash when you think about why didn't I do this and that. During the action we seldom thing of a good way to avoid and accident. Anyway, again glad your ok and it's good to hear the bike is still running.

Next race is 25th June so plenty of time to sort fairing damage and get my pride back. Laughing Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Just a word of warnig to anyone who does racing or trackdays, if you dont have a back protector, get one. I had just bought a new one as I left my other one at home. If I hadn't been wearing it I reckon a night in hospital would have been on the the cards.

Racing and trackdays? Mini moto was enough to tell me I needed a back protector. Laughing The coccyx ached for a few days after that.

Unlucky mate, you done well getting off as lightly as you did. Hopefully the bike is handy enough to sort, but you can tell your mates you survived a 150mph crash, which is nice like.

I dont mind the wet, just stick wets on, it is when it is damp it is a nightmare.

I hate the rain when iam on my road bike.

amazingly, considering I hit a substantial stationary object when I was travelling about 180mph, I didn't drop it

I held on until the end of the track and just stopped, with a small cut in my arm where a piece of plastic came through my leathers

so no real healing to do, loads to do on the bike but I'm more than fine thank you
