yes, that is about right, mine cost 140 for the kit, standard price and then 0 for the fitting, but i got discount on the fitting, plus its a bandit so no farings to remove Very Happy 200 is about average for it, sucks tbh, you have to pay for 4 washers that LOWER the performance of you bike!

You can fit them yourself really easily.

Just buy the washers and do it yourself.

I'm not sure of the legal implications of that though? Confused

yeah i would do that but you need a damn certificate dont ya, and i dont know how that works, personally i think its a joke, and if they expect young riders to ride their bikes legally they should make it a bit more do-able for them.

Method - what bike do you have? to get restricted?

And does your company SPECIFICALLY request a official certificate? Find the latter out BEFORE buying the official kit Smile

Also have you checked www.gs500e.co.uk to see if anyone has some spare washers?

the GS is allready restricted but it looks like i might have to sell. Ive posted it in the exchange and mart section to get an idea of what people think to it etc... i was looking at a VFR to replace it but i think that has fallen through because i dont have the budget Sad im in a pretty bad state at the moment, im just checking ebay for 250's that might fall under the 33hp level as standard...BTW im with bennetts and not sure if they want a cert. or not, ill ring them in a minute, cheers inst! Thumbs Up

it broke down on me for no reason yesterday, its done it before and did it again yesterday, the new headlight unit i have put on it has actually melted and blown both the bulbs inside it so thats a complete state and has to be removed, i spoke to my dad about it and his theory is to get it mot'd and get rid of it asap before i break it. i would rather keep the bike and save some money up for a different bike after the summer or something but, i dont have the money or time to keep spending on it, i need a reliable bike that i can hop on and go, do a bit of maintanence to each weekend and that will keep it going. i just cant take it any more Sad

Sounds just like a few minor problems. Get the bike serviced and replace that light set up for the original and you should be okay. GS 500's are workhorses and last for a long time, it could just be a few minor niggles.

it probably is just a few small things, but added to the other things that have gone wrong and i have had to sort out its just another thing to worry about, i have spent lots of time and money on it trying to sort it out, right now i dont have the money to pay for it to get serviced properly, and have not got the time to let it go away / have it out of action in my garage whilst i service it Sad

How about Suzuki Goose 350? 32/33bhp as standard?
