Froggy,

Think about a Honda CB-1. I don't know if they are a twin, but still a 400 and look better than the bros. I presume you are going bros because you are restricted? If not there are probably sexier bikes for your money out there.

There aren't many other 400's which sound anything like as nice as the Bros though. Insurance won't be as bad as the inline 4's either seeing as they don't make any more than 33 bhp.

The Bros is a good bike. Better than the CB1 I reckon cos they last longer.
They ain't as "sexy" as mentioned by Gracie Jones but you can get bits no problem for them & if you have a small inside leg measurement then they are also a good bet too.
A good few dispatch riders use them...& for good reaon too. My Ex had one & she loved it to bits, I rode it several times & found it to be a good all round tool to use, just the thing if you aren't that confident in your riding style, much easier than the peaky engine in the CB1.
I'd give the Bros 400 a Thumbs Up

58BHP, according to this review I came across. It says it was officially imported into the UK via Honda (It says a Grey Import).

I have had my Honda Bros 400 for a year now.

I can't fault it, it's a good, reliable bike that's never gone wrong on me (touch wood!).

Parts are easily obtained via www.wemoto.com.

Get a Bros. Very Happy Thumbs Up

The Bros is the Honda Revere/Deauville with a chain final drive instead of a shaft basically.

Wont blow your mind but will run for all eternity on cheapo oil anbd pattern parts provided you do it regular.

from what ive heard the bros 400 is just a sleved down 650 engine so not entirely impressive since the 650 is kind of old and underpowerd these days

have you thought about an SV400 not sure of the bhp but they are v twins so will have less power and more torque which means cheaper insurance and if you restrict it the % power restriction will be a lot less

If you want one, my housemate has one 'surplus to requirements' He's upgraded to a Bros 650 now. Not sure how much he's asking, but its a great bike. Has Laser exhaust (sounds good), K&N filter, Hagon shock & springs, good runner.

Btw, its in Loughborough so not a million miles from you.
