What sort of top speed do you have?

If you're only reaching around 80mph at a push and it wont rev higher than 8000rpm, then you definitely dont have the power valve fitted. If you take your seat off and unscrew the small bolt holding the tank down, lift the tank a little and you can see for yourself if the power valve is there or not. I'd be tempted to make sure they are telling the truth.

Also, dont spend that much on one. You get them far cheaper from places like ebay, or contact Craig at www.cmpracing.co.uk. He has a shop focussed on selling parts for RS125's, knows a lot and will give you some good advice.

Hope that helps. Thumbs Up Smile

The power dip is indeed a right pain. A racing CDI is one way of removing it, but the standard CDI can also be modified, by cutting away at a certain part of the casing then breaking a connection underneath. Then you just cover the hole with silicone.

https://www.navero.co.uk/rs125zone/tuning.htm

That site has quite a bit of information, tells you exactly what has to be done, will come in useful.

Also, I had a word with Craig and he says the power valve units are £75 delivered pretty much anywhere. So if you're in need of one, would be wise to give him a shout. Thumbs Up
