Things to do in Leicestershire???

I'd just like to know what there is and where there are things to do related to biking in Leicestershire. Does anyone have any favorite biking pubs or just general good pubs in the area? Are there any fairly regular bike meets? Are there any particularly good kit shops or spares dealers that you know?

MCA in Leicester are very good for helmets, leathers etc. They're very helpful and have loads of stock, so you can try different things on. It's an hours drive for me to get there, but that's where I'll go back to next time I need some kit

MCA is alright, I live in Loughborough, nice roads up to East Leake and not too far from Matlock.

Pubs wise - Ox bike night on Tuesdays up at Six Hills, massive turnout in the summer, The Vic is a bikers pub in Coalville, Thursday nights is the bike meet with a beer garden, BBQ etc in the summer.

A60 from Loughborough to Nottm is nice(if a bit short). I've not really explored the county on the bike yet.

Matlock Bath on a Sunday afternoon is biking Mecca and deffinately worth the trip up if the Sun is shining
