anyone have a chrome helmet?

I know the majority won't like them but do they scratch after a while or look silly? Wondering wether to put a coat of clear over it to stop scratches (proper paint not the stuff that eats into helmets)

I've seen you can actually buy carbon fibre helmets, wonder if their stronger or weaker?

Carbon fibre is usually lighter, defenately strong enough... possibly not the strongest...

Be very carefull buying helmets online/importing them as theres quite a chance they wont be legal!

I had a chrome Cromwell. They do scratch and chip easily especially when you double them up as foot rests!

I have a dark chrome helmet, its not actually chrome but gives the appearance (like your first picture).

Scratchs just like any other helmet.

what's it look like when it's scratched mate? only thing putting me off getting one is wether or not it looks naff once it's all scratched up.
