I shall put up more piccies once I have some!

I can only take them with my phone (no camera) and it takes ages to upload them to the web from the mobile, especially as there is no reception at work! Crying or Very sad

Keep your eyes peeled!

PS: More pictures here, in terms of the re-build, plus the full storey: TL1000R Rebuild.

Well, Avatar1 is too big and when made smaller looks like pooh!

Same with Avatar 3, so number 2 wins, for now at least.

I'll create a better one soon, maybe tonight at MFN!

The pained one was only ever a temporary measure, as is the one have at the moment, banger included! Razz

Cheers for the compliments on the bike, I quite thought so my self, tee hee.

just needs Gold front forks, radial brakes and a better mono-shock, but cash flow is dire at the moment!

I had a great opportunity totake photos of my bike last night, but it seemed to get surrounded by others really fast, so I had no room for a decent shot, oh well!

for when the cash flow solves itself, i have two words for you:

Brembo
Ohlins

however, in order to facilitate this, you way wish to visit northern rock.....for a mortgage

probably a little bit cheaper than new ohlins forks Razz
but what about the brembos??
if you get forks from one of the '05 litre bikes, they'll come with mounting points for radial brakes!!! Twisted Evil

mmmmm. this bike will burn a large hole in your pocket i feel

I have always loved the look and sound of the TL1000R and to this date I believe the exhaust configuration is the best out there! the way it comes out and points up and in towards the tail I would have bought a blue and white 2002 model if I could touch the ground a bit more and I wasn't put off so much by the horror stories about the rear rotary shock being a bit of a worry. All in all thats a top bike mate well done and get out there and ride the wheels off it Thumbs Up Twisted Evil Thumbs Up

Its the TL1000S with the tankslapping rear rotary shock, different configuration for the TL1000R i think so its fine.

Yeah, I think they changed the geometry for the R too. I saw a TL1000S have a tankslapper halfway up the straight at Llandow before he binned it.

That's the one. It must have come as little comfort that the crash bungs survived unscatched whilst his fairing took a beating! Rolling Eyes
