I haven't hired a bike in Spain, but did hire an NSR50 from a Pork'n'Cheese man in Largos.
I found them pretty lax in finding helmets, and despite lots of perstering I ended up with a piss pot that didn't do up. so my advice would be to make sure you know how to request a helmet in Spanish ____________________ Avast! Pirates ahoy!

Give the bike a good check over before you ride it too. Some of the rental bikes over there are in a sorry state. I hired a DR350 in Gran Canaria (Ok, not Spain, but Spanish). For starters it had virtually no oil in it at all and would have seized had I not checked. It had a cross-ply knobbly tyre on the front and a radial road tyre on the back, the chain was hanging off and there was no bulb in the tail light. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. I did the 2010 Round Britain Rally on my 350 Bullet. 89 landmarks, 3 months, 9,500 miles. |
