I just got off the phone to a mate of mine. He's a biker for 20 years.
I happened to tell him that my instructor on my forthcoming CBT is called Loz - to which he responded "Nice biker name".

Me being a noob said nowt. People have biker names? I just assumed my instructor was from South Africa or summat.

Please tell me I don't have to combine my mothers maiden name with my last pets name or I'm gonna sound like a right tw@t.

"Ozzy Grimes"

Not very catchy for an L-plater.

Neutral

A shortened version of Lawrence, or Lauren for a girl.

My mates are called Rick, Gaz, Pete & Ed.

My first name is John, but because of the number of Johns in the world, most people call me Byrnie (or 'Oi You' , 'Stop Thief' etc).

I know quite a few people who go by the name of Wolf Eh? and even more who are known as Smurf Thinking

A good 'biker name' is the one you're most commonly recognised by.

But Flipper or Gravelrash might give you some indication of the esteem your mates hold your riding skills.

Cheers,

Byrnie.
