If you find a local place that does decals/signwriting they'll have loads and sell it cheap if it's the stuff I'm thinking of.

Have you tried clear fablon? I know we stock it in B&Q, but almost every DIY store should have it.

i think that if you have something you prize that much and dont want to get it into stone chip heaven, then i personally would go down the professional route of getting it done, as i expect that doing it DIY style could be tricky, with air bubbles etc, i think that it cost about 400 for my friend to get his TT covered with armour fend, you can see the lines where it ends but its no big thing also when he comes to sell it it can be removed and hey presto perfect paint work,

Hein Gerike sell clear sheet stuff that you can cut to size. Can't comment on the quality but it's cheap.

This is what I use to protect the tank in my bike https://www.thetankslapper.biz/ it comes from the States but only takes about 4 - 5 days. Just spray the area with water and smooth on with a bit of card or squeege. Costs about £14 including shipping.

VentureShield is a clear urethane film that is guaranteed against discolouring, cracking or peeling. In fact they guarantee the film for the life of the bike. It is considerably stronger than any other make of film and once applied to the bike, it is virtually invisible.

There are pre-cut kits available for virtually every bike that is less than 5 years old and there is also a Universal kit available for any customising.

For prices etc and advise go to the following website:

http//www.showtrax.net

They supply kits to all the major accessory suppliers/dealers and manufacturers in the UK
