Hi,

Ok, this friday at 2.30pm me and the girlfriend load up the GS500 and board the ferry in Nice, arriving in Corsica some 4 hrs later.... cant wait Very Happy

Although now paranoia is setting in and I'm starting to worry about the rusty, half-arsed pile of shit that is my '96 model GS. I want to do a basic check over the bike to make sure its gonna last the 5 days without any problems. Can someone please tell me what I should check out, what stuff I should bring in case of problems (everyone always bangs on about cable ties) and generally anything you think I should do to put my mind at rest.

We managed to get hold of the smallest tent ever (it weighs 1.9 kg!). Thats getting strapped to the grab rail. The tiny summer-use sleeping bags are going in a backpack with a few items of clothing and the toothbrushes, torch and map. Anyone have any advice on stuff I might forget but really need?

If possible I'll post some pics when we get back Smile

Puncture repair kit if you can get hold of one.
Some sort of lock for bike maybe. (especially if you don't know where you may have to leave it).
Some breakdown cover.
Roll of gaffer tape, maybe some electrical insulation tape too.
Some sun cream Cool
