You never know.... with 600s joining/replacing (I forget which) 250 2t they might add 400s for 125s.
That along with rising insurance would probably regain the Japanese interest in 400s (which has waned since they relxed their power laws).
300th post!!!

600's with 250's ?

That doesn't sound good, the 6's would wipe the floor with them. I think stock 2t 250's with stock 4st 400's would be a good class, kinda like miniature GP, as they're pretty well matches when caned flat out, but surely the 250 bikes wouldn't stand a chance with 600's?

400 vs 250 (2t) would be quite a good idea 4 GP...

I think the idea is that the 250ccs will be allowed to be lighter and so be able to carry more corner speed.
Thinking about it I'm not sure if this was just a proposal or actually going to happen next year.

Hi

The impression I got was that the GP classes would allow more production based 600s to race against the full GP 250s. Realistically a GP 250 would leave a road based 600 for dead. Maybe 10hp down at most, but far less weight

The Japanese used to have a race class for 250 2 squeaks against 400 4 strokes.

I think the Japanese havent so much as given up on 400cc bikes, but that sports 400s have just gone out of fashion.

All the best

Keith

Thought I'd read that... then decided I was probably just making it up from the new 1000cc BSB rules.
