it's that time again

200mph.net's annual top speed racing event at RAF Woodbridge

expect some insaaaaaaane turbos and some big speeds and big fun (and a Kawabugly)

worth a visit if you are in the Ipswich area Wink

What are the details, can you just rock up, or do you need tickets etc....?

ANd what is the deal, the guys nail it down a strip and see how fast they can go - like a straightliners thing?

you can pay on the gate - £5

it's a top speed event using the full 2 mile runway, some people take this very seriously so there will be some crazy big power turbos there (like 500bhp) there is a speed trap at about 1.5 miles for accurate speed recording

there may be some quarters on sunday although the focus of the event is top speed

you would need special permission to take photos at the top of the track but even the pros have failed so far to capture anything half decent at 200mph speeds

the pits are 1/4 mile in so people are already running 140s/150s and you can take photos there

I have only recently passed (Begining of the year) and am trying to find people in the Snetterton area (I am right near Norwich) for riding...

DOH just been there last weekend at a car show (GTI international VW show). It's a massive open area perfect for some speed runs etc. mind watch out for the lights that light the runways........lol

Won't be coming down this weekend though as it's a 350 mile trip each way and I done that on my bike last weekend.
