Just name the time and place....
Might even be able to host a game on my cable modem (I'm considering upgrading to a 1mbit/256k connection as well, but that does double the price Sad )

You can get ISDN speed broadband from ntl for £15 a month now..Same as aol but alot quicker. Were on bt ADSL broadband, thats £30 a month but worth it for 500kbps and its shared between a couple of computers.

I'd have a game but mine are copys and you can play online with copies, well not on the westwood site anyway..Is there any other places that you can play westwood games online?

Nah, AFAIK you can't play HL over the internet without a key.
I've got a £25 a month cable modem from NTL at the mo... but the £50 a month double speed option is severly tempting me... not that I need it all... so I've resisted the temptation so far.

Hope Sony get their act together with this broadband gaming. If saga could do it with the dreamcast why cant sony get it done with the most popular game system in the world...Probably have to faulk out a shit load of money for the hard drive and either net adapter too..

Anyone know anythin about the future of ps2 net gaming..not heard anything about it all for a while

Sony are releasing an online bundle in August.
Will probably contain the Hard drive add-on and the ethernet hub/modem.

Apparently it is already possible to use a PS2 online, using a USB ethernet adaptor and certain specified modems (these are mentioned in Tony Hawks 3 instruction manual).
People are also using PS2 for linux at the moment.

August ey..thats not all that long to wait i guess... I might try plugging my modem into my ps2 see what happens..would of though you'd need some software to run it. Dont doubt the protocol for playstation to isp/pc will be different

Anyone got moto gp2? As much as i like bikes i didn't like the game all that much..too boring. Not tried the wsbk spin offs though wonder if there any better

Moto GP2- great graphics and good for half an hour, but not enough to it really. What we all need is a Gran Turismo for bikes....imagine. Start of with enough money for a ped, then maybe a 125, eventually end up with a superbike. Upgrades of all kinds, suspension, exhausts, tyres, big bore kits. God, how cool would that be. Get sony to make that then maybe I would buy a PS2 of my own rather than using works. hehe. Laughing

PS. If anyone reading this decides to actually design this game make sure youo can create your own custom bike paint schemes to be saved to a mem card. Razz

I have recently borrowed 2 'bike' games from work, Ducati World and Superbike 2000.
Ducati World tries to recreate bits from Gran Turismo, like the buying of bikes and licences, but unfortunatley fails to provide any excitement.

Superbike on the other hand is very good, nice speed and graphics and is quite like TOCA touring cars on 2 wheels. Nice track representation!!
