me dad is just starting to rebuild his project bike, a 1990 kawasaki gt750, does anyone know where he can get hold of a complete gearbox and a set of piston rings? ive tried several kawasaki breakers but they havent had a gt750 in for quite a number of years.
Apparantly they are becomming quite hard to obtain parts for?

cheers
tom

Try free-ads papers and more usefully eBay.

When my dad rebuilt his cb550 he drove all the way to Wales to buy 2 non-running engines to add to his existing non-runner and combined bits of them to come up with a sound(ish) engine. Not really sure how he found 50 quids worth of old broken engines advertised nationally in the days before eBay though Thinking

Might be worth getting a doner bike or engine to make it easier and (in the long run) cheaper, if you can find one.

Big bike show near peterborough. There will be lots of stalls etc selling cheap gear. Yes, I would agree that it would be a good oportunity to source bits for a project.
