Just took delivery from my leathers as part of my birthday present from my parents. They are Dainese Tribal. Yellow and black Razz

I've got a trip to Windsor planned in 20 minutes so hopefully will be able to wear in the sliders. Wink

Breaking them in is going to be a challenge. Got on my bike and i couldn't move at all. Was a very strange feeling.

Tried about 20 times for KD but it wasn't happening. I couldn't hang off enough and i was leaning more than i normally do and wasn't comfortable with it. Nearly peg down so i took it steady.

On the way home on the exit of the M3 i managed to touch the left down at 75. Only just though and i was going way to fast.

Good news is i saw an Enzo in black in Windsor. Cool

I was gonna follow him and ask to swap it with my bike but i don't think he would. Crying or Very sad

Knee down is all about hanging off, I can do it at less than 10mph in little circles in car parks, but then I do occasionally crash.

Left is much harder than right IMO.

And his parents have WAY too much money. Got a ZX6-r and some other sports bike for his 17th birthday, now dainese leathers?

I got my XJ600 for my 18th, and that was £425, and I had to buy my own leathers.

Not sure I'd appreciate a ZX6-r as much if it came so easily.

Gaz

I think i only managed it at that speed becuase i was able to flick the bike down quickly with the idea that the fast i was going the more planted i would be on the road.

Where are you getting the idea my parents are rich.

FYI i got my ZX6R at 17 1/2 becuase my GSXR was fucked.. Only my 6th bike. Cool

That's a good thing. Too many people have ill-fitting leathers because they bought ones that fitted off the shelf. Once the leathers "give" you see the same people walking around in baggy leathers! You'll be alright once you've been out a few times, and then the leathers will stretch and fit fine.

When I got my Dainese leathers I had to get someone else to help zip them up around the waist Laughing Now, they fit me perfectly.

I know what you mean about the zip. Goes all the way round and is a bastard to do yourself. Could do with abit of WD40 on it. Laughing
