Well i got one, it is an R reg 97 with 13000miles on the clock, it is yellow with full fairing it is pretty much standard besides it has Micron Carbon exhausts and white wheels not sure if this is standard or not but they look really good.

It is preety much mint a few chips but nothing major. I got it with a full years mot brand new tyres and just had major service all for the price of £1700 then i got insurance for £520!!!

Does that sound like a good price to you guys?
Cheers

Wow. Good price for what I think is a superb bike. Of course I've never ridden one but always had a soft spot for one.

Keep an eye on your fuel level!

Theyre ace bikes.
I take it its an SP-1??

My neighbour has a red one with a scorpion system...much louder than my dads mille.

the only thing my neighbour doesent like is the fuel range. i think he has something like 8 miles worth of fuel when on reserve.

Here's a tip - get a manual CCT (can't remember the company/URL right now though) when the Honda one starts to make rattles.

I thought that you were going to Oz or something?

When the CCT needs replacing, don't ride the bike till it's done, in fact don't wait for it to need replacing, just do it anyway. Do it now. It won't cost much and could save your bike from catastrophic engine failure (write off basically)

A friend of mine is a VTR nut. I test rode his VTR as I was going to buy one before deciding the insurance wasn't worth it. He told me a lot about them, including the CCT's. He says it's such a simple problem but can cause a lot of damage apparantly. His mates got a written off VTR because the CCT gave up Shocked

And yes i went to Oz for 1 day a few weeks ago but my dad was attacked and had to come back, you might have seen it in the paper/tv it was in Salford his name is Phil Carroll because some scally thrown a stone at his car, well thats my dad. So now he is on the mend and a few weeks on i decided i need to get some transport sorted so thats were the VTR comes in. Thanks for all the help guys.

Just so you know, if you decide to do the camchain tensioner yourself remember to cable tie the camchain to the shaft, if you don't the timing will be out and you'll have to set it all up again properly.

Also, the manual ones are good but it is very easy to over tighten them which could cause more problems than you're solving. Personally i'd stick to the automatic ones and just keep an eye on it all.

Hope this helps. Well done by the way. Top bike. Thumbs Up
