Can anyone point me in the direction of instuctions to adjust the carb on a cg125? The carb has 2 screws one on the front and one on the back I have tried adjusting both but I cant get it to balance right, If I leave it running the engine seems to race after about 2 minutes (ie when its hot). I thought I had done it today took it out for a run it cut out after 1 mile and I had to push it back home!!

I couldnt start it even if you had given me a million pounds, it seemed like the engine was flooded, pushed it home and left it for an hour and it started straight away!

It my panic to get it started I adjusted both screws on the carb (home was a long way up hill in the sun!) does any one know the correct way to reset them back to what they should be?

Please help Im stuck!

the screw on the bottom is the pilot screw, turn it alll the way in then turn it 1 1/2 turns out.

the larger screw on the side is the idle screw, this will need to be set when the engine is running and warm.

clean your plug to as its most likely covered in shite by now

Thanks for the tips

Another stupid question from me which way does the spark plug unscrew clockwise or anti-clockwise as its stuck pretty firm!

Would it be the plug that would of prevented it from starting after my short 1 mile ride?

Cheers,

yes, you could have been running way to rich and flooded it with fuel, the thing dried out then started.

Not always i've come across a reverse threaded bolt in a clutch assembly.

Very confusing when you can't figure out why after an hour of yanking on the thing it wouldn't come undone
