I would just like to share in the joy that is being a biker.

It is funny how not matter what happens, I know that as soon as I get on my bike that my mood will always change to a happy one.

Here is a little run down of my morning so far;

We are having some estate agents round today to value the place with a veiw to getting it on the market. So for the last few days I have been working my arse off to get the place looking good. New floors, paint etc.

Well the time came this morning to start to move all the tools and things back down to the garage and so I began to sort the stuff into a few trips. I leant my workmate against the wall and due to the floors now being wooden, it slipped forward landing on my foot which now has a lovely swallen bump on it. Never the less a few hops and choice words later, I gathered my composure and headed down to the garage with the first load. Got down there and would you adam and eve it the frigging door wouldnt open. Still flustered about the pain in the foot I lashed out and kicked the door forgetting that I had just socks on and cauth my heal on the handle in the middle of the door. Needless to say my mood turned very quickly to anger to which I rammed the door (which is an up and over) up towards the sky with the might of a thousand men which then proceeded to make it jump off of its runners crashing down on to my bike. The bike was ok tho, but I had failed to notice that as the door had jumped out and back off of the runners it had sent my helmet flying across the garage from the shelf it was sat on.
I preceeded to try and get the door back on the runners, but in the process managed to gouge 3 inchs out of the inside of my arm on the hook that my jacket was hung on.
Another dance and chant later I get the door back in and look for my helmet.
Go to the back of the garage and there she is. Big scrape down one side, visor the other side of the garage with one of the side peices (that hold the visor on) broken.
I got back inside, had a cup of tea and got ready for work.
Not only was I pissed about everthing that had happened already this morning, but I had to ride to work wearing a bright white open face helmet and aviators (to protect the eyes a little). Stupid!

Anyways, the ride to work with the wind in my face the v-twin throbbing away, zipping round cars and the feel of acceleration made me feel like I was on top of the world. All my troubles of the morning had dissapeared.

So that is my post which I hope you dont mind me sharing with you.

No matter what the world throws at you, within one ride out it can all become insignificant. Even if I did look like the T1000 from T2!!

Thumbs Up
