road tax Question - how long?

my tax runs out at the end of the month and just wondering how long it takes to get a new disk, is it just a case of rocking up to the nearest post office with MOT, V5 and money and getting it in a 5 min job or do they have to send things away?

You don't even need the reminder anymore. The whole process took me less than 5 minutes. Add another day to that if you want to include the fact I forgot my cover note the first day! Embarassed

Just remember it has to be the 15th or later if you want to start the tax from that month. I was a day early last time....
