As long as it is a) firmly fixed in place.
b) E-marked.
c) Flashes between 60-120 times per minte.
and
d) Gives out orange light.

You are ok for mot time. I have MOTed bikes with both heavily glued together flashers and flasher lenses held on with gaffa tape.

My mate has MOTed an older bike, the tail light of which consisted of a 10w single filament bulb with a red, coca-cola bottle top stuck over the end of it with PVC tape. It passed. He even drilled a small hole in the bottom of it for a 'white' numberplate light.
