Has anyone else had dealings with this 'bike lend' company ?

I have had nothing but bother with them so far...
My insurance company put me through to them..on the evening of the accident...(maybe they are on commission)..
it was all swept along from then on...

Helphire gave me a bike after a time..a duff one..the battery died 2 days later, (upon leaving work..child left stranded at school waiting for me for an hour).
The AA informed me ..and them, (helphire), that the battery could not hold power for long, and would die again.
After calling Helphire about this, they said that the bike would now be fine as long as I rode it every day, (which I was doing anyway).

This morning, on the way to work..it died again.
Not happy.
Loss of wages for a morning. A very important morning. We, as a Playgroup, had an inspection from a person whom I needed to meet. I was 2 hours late.

I called Helphire this evening,..no claim of lost wages can be made for today as a replacement bike is being sent to me tomorrow.
Crying or Very sad
I quoted what the first AA man had said upon the 1st breakdown, and they had no reply...just that at 'this time nothing further can be said'.

(**Oh,....and must add..Helphire today admitted that there Honda XR's had 'battery problems'.. Why lend them out then !!??)

Helphire put my own broken bike with a 'reputable' nearby garage to be mended.
This was a fortnight ago.
Repairs have not yet started !!
It was looked at the day after I took it to the garage... damage was noted down,.. but the correct form to begin repair work was not signed, (authorisation form I believe the name was) ..until last night Rolling Eyes
So..now, I am assured, parts are being ordered tomorrow,.. and then... who knows.
Helphire said it was their resonsibilty to chase the garage up, etc... and they had been them calling them daily, but I know this to be a lie.

Is this normal ?
I have never had an accident before...or dealt with these people, but this seems a tad slow to me.

Have you spoken to your insurance company, listing your complaints? I've never been in a similar situation, but it could be you can wheedle something out of them, or at least ensure they don't palm any other unfortunates onto this gash company.
