to sell or not to sell

I was lucky enough to come into some money and thats how I got my R6 at the beginning of the year, before that I didn't have a pot to piss in ! I got a new 2004 R6 on a 05 plate as they were selling them on cheap. I have had fun on the R6 but I'm thinking of getting something thats less of a licence looser

the thing is, do I

1) sell the R6 now even though its the wrong time of the year as summer is ending and possibly not get that good a price for it?

or

2) wait and sell it next spring but risk it loosing value due to the pending new R6, which I suspect will push second hand values down.

or

3) keep it for a couple of years and try and behave myself ?

first i would choose 3
A lot of my mates have changed to KTM's, Huskys and the like. They have all fallen off more than they did on sports bikes.You are just as likely to loose your licence for popping wheelies everywhere,you just cant help it on that type of bike. Also motorways are a nightmare on them.
I would keep the R6 and save up for a cheap enduro for off road.

After some rather fast sports bikes I've gone for a rs250 road bike - a lot cheaper than a decent supermoto (though relatively lower spec, but cheaper maintenance as well).

Great fun on roads, enough top end to keep up, but not enough for stupidly high speeds.

I'd go for no.1

As soon as I can afford it I'll be swapping my thundercat for something a bit more up-right and less revvy.
But I'll be getting a nice trackbike to make up for it.
