Wouldn't say all the time.

But we've all done it, if we admit to it or not!

The embarassing thing is when you lock the bike up, then leave the keys in the ignition, not thinking that the key for the lock is on there aswell.

I have once or twice when i first started riding. I would usually realise after about 2 or 3 minutes. Luckily i have only ever done it when i've parked up at college.

But now i have developed a habit of grabing my pocket my keys are in every 5 minutes to check i've still got them. I even have to look directly at my keys when shutting the seat compartment, just to make sure im haven't locked them in there! Mad

Its just one of those annoying (but usefull) habits i have, kind of like constantly pressing the indicator off button when riding along...

Managed to leave them on the saddle once...

Was the first day in a new job too and I'd just arrived! Had to ask to run back out to the bike and get them back!

Regularly loose my keys at home... and at college to that matter!

left them in the bike a few times, worse was when i put my lid down to swip in at uni, to get into where i live and my keys fell out of my lid, and i left them on the floor, next to where the bike was parked. Luckily someone picked them up who knew they were mine! Rolling Eyes Embarassed

A mate found the keys in the ignition of a brand spanking new MVaugusta (he had literally got it that day...) he got the keys out, wrote him a note saying they were at the cop shop arround the corner and his phone number...

He was very very pleased, got him a case of beer to say thanks Very Happy

Never left them in or lost them myself.. keep mine on a clip that goes on my coat, seems to do the trick for me Smile

Actually now i think of it, i saw somebodys bmw weird naked touring thing (i was noseying at the time) left his ignition key in the middle of his seat, took into the nearest shop, asked if somebody has a bmw outside, he looked like he had shat himself when i handed his key to him Razz

I do it all the time. I quite often find that I've left my keys in the bike, in the garage for days at a time Doh!

My other favourite is to leave them in the lock mechanism for the rear seat. I did that at the BMF a few years ago (they were there all day before I noticed!) and, more recently at Boxhill with some people from here.

went to visit a mate yesterday, pulled up and thought thank god, his eventually in (he works abroad and when hes back hes never in).

So look up his drive to his garage, front foor open, garage doors open, GSXR1000K4, old GSXR11, and a R6 track bike all there with keys in! He'd gone out in car! Rolling Eyes

Crazy, if i did it once i bet my bike would go walkies! Confused

Left my keys in the ignition several times now. Once in particular, the bike was sat in a chav infested area with the keys in. Must have been sat there for at least 2 hours, ran back to the bike and there they were, just sat in the igniton.

I have also dropped my keys down a drain once. Embarassed
Had a bit of trouble gettting them out Sick But a fellow biker came along to help me. Smile

Oh and Karma is all about writing good posts, and getting good ratings from people. It doesn't involve saying how fast your RS is Wink
