I went in my local bike dealer today and he's got a new batch of bikes in, i noticed a new Sachs 'madass' Rolling Eyes 50cc 4 stroke with underseat exhaust. To me it looks like a modified puch maxi Sick Thumbs Down .

See attached.
What do you lot think of it Question .

"madness" as in you would have to be to buy one?

£1500 notes isnt a bad price though...Bet it will have a good insurance group too, cause who would want to nick that?

50cc, 4 stroke!? And I thought my 125 4 stroke was slow.

I'm assuming they're not hydraulic brakes on there, if so, then that was a complete waste of money!

Hi

Not sure I would want to ride one, but 10/10 for trying to do something different.

All the best

Hmm, nice comfy looking seat. At least there's not much of it to break I suppose.

I like it. Thumbs Up

It's not pretending to be anything other than an engine and a seat.

Looks like a mounting bike with an engine. Kinda neat and tidy. Wouldn't look a complete fool riding it. Not bad really.

I actually like it too, maybe not great for the british market but in spain for example afaik 50cc is not classified as a bike so requires no licence or insurance or even number plate! so there may well be a few countrys with the same/similar system in europe..
as kickstart Thumbs Up for doing something different, it may be a massive hit you never know...

I like it. Like a BMX with an engine. Would be fun to mess about in a carpark on.

If you had access to a go-cart track and some insane/like minded mates with some money to waste - they would be bloody fantastic fun i reckon..

I think the price of it will mean it will sell well. The more i look at it the better it seems and the more i appreciate it for what it is. It would be very easy to work on and should be easily monevable as it looks like it don't weigh much at all so should be good round town and in traffic. Also it has big wheels for a ped and suppose a 50cc 4 stroke will only sip at petrol. My first opinion of it wasn't all that good probably because i was comparing it to sport bikes in my mind and in the shop it don't look too good next to 125, 500, 600cc sport bikes.

The kart track idea is good but has already been done. I've seen clips where they race 50's and mini moto's, etc round go kart tracks.

This bike is quite similar.

Here's a video of the bike and mini moto's racing round a kart track.

Here's one of it on an outdoor track.

All looks good fun.

It looks great, a real hoot. Thumbs Up If you only live a few miles from work and only travel on minor A roads and B roads, what more do you want, dirt cheap to run/tax/insure. And light enough walk with on the pavement if you cant filter through heavy traffic...

Where can I buy one?!

Looks like a right laugh, and i bet its light enough for that tiny engine to make it razz a little, does it have gear's?

I like the idea.
The price and execution don't seem to be so great... I wonder if it's geared or not. Either way I'd prefer it to be a 2 stroke.

Looks like it could be good for stunts... kind of like a xr50 or similar, but more road biased.
Looks kind of like a supped-up small mountain bike with an engine. Always wanted to try sticking a minimoto engine in a push bike Smile.

Shame its not a smoker, looks like a laugh though, but 1500 seems a bit steep. At least with a puch there is some tuning potential.

I saw that in a bike shop. Looks odd and you'd feel like a prat riding one but at least its different.

Looks different, looks just like someone has got my MTB and stuck an engine onto it Very Happy Very Happy . Would be interesting to try, but doubt it's that durable.

Okay. Now that you've got the engine from the generator and I've got lots and lots of time on my hands, I could give it a go Mr. Green Laughing . Could be an interesting result when it works Twisted Evil
