went to the bmf earlier and got nicked for speeding on the way,im very happy with the outcome...3 points and 60 quid fine.

copper did me for my average speed...not my top speed,so i got done for 98.2 mph in a 70 limit...top speed was 120.3.

expensive day out...and that was before the shopping.

You got off lightly, should've been 6 points technically. Still don't get why'd you be very happy about it though.

Would have probably been 6 points, but he would have had to go to court to get that. Having said that, at 98mph he should have to go to court (more than 25mph over the speed limit). Either way, he got off lightly so I guess that's why he's happy.

thats why im happy,also if he had done me for my top speed id be banned.


you take your chance so have to take the punishment...certainly a good outcome imo.

When I was pulled a while back the office said it was 30mph, less its came down recently.

I went to court a few years ago and my solicitor said that 25mph meant you had to go to court and 30mph meant that the magistrate was instructed to consider banning.

Oh dear - I take it someone didn't read the warnings plastered all over the various forums / newsgroups, not to mention the BBC national news, that the police would be "out to catch speeding bikers this weekend" ?
