Whats the most miles you've had or seen on the clock on a 125cc 2 Stroke?

My RS 125 is currently on 14,000 khms.

However my mates Chesterfield RS 125, which is a P plate, is on 31,000 khms and his bike is still running strong, starting first time every time and putting out 110mph. Theres no rattling or anything from the engine.

Hes had just over a year now, its been stolen twice since hes had it, and hes used it pretty much every day of the year. Hes done 2 oil changes and changed the spark plug 3 times. Apart from this the engine has had no other work done to it.

The engine is bulletproof and goes to show that 125cc 2 Strokes can go on.

So whats the most you've had or seen on the clocks of a 125 2 stroke.

Cheers

two strokes are a love hate relationship. depending on how you ride the bike then it depends on how it takes to the thrashing you give it. if you have a bike like mine (rs125) the engine dyies every mile or so! (due to bein in-humanly thrashed to an inch of its life!) but luck after it, spot things goin bang and al should be well tbh

The first bike i bought(Zhongyu ZY50 from Ebay) had 700 miles on the clock as it packed up.

This bike was a 50cc 2 stroke, but i just wanted to share this with you all

In other words dont go near the damn things..

My AR125 showed 28000 yesterday, I've done 8000 of those and it hasn't had a rebuild in my time. Still going strong apart from the odd problem that needs sorting, nothing major.

This must be the jinx your 125 2 stroke thread, so I'm not going to say anything! Very Happy

But seriously, looked after there is no reason a 2 stroke won't last for ages.

I sold my first kmx200 with 11000m on the clock still going strong! My second kmx200 has lasted about 500miles of me riding it, but it had nearly 20000m on the clock when i got it! My piston crown and skirt had a falling out, and became 2 seperate parts, but broke up all the rings and trashed the bore while they were having their fit!

Both my RD and RG are seeing just over 20K miles, and both are having full rebuilds lol. Not that they needed it, its really just to make sure they run fine when I come to use them. The RD's mileage is quite low for a 20 year old bike thats had 16 owners. Think it was about time for a rebuild when I got it though.

At the moment the TZR has 32'000khm and i've replaced the rings and a decarbonize. So no idea what that is in miles.

An the RXS has done 20'612 miles... All orginal top end parts - Although I replaced the big end shells @ 18'000miles...But top end is all orginal.
